Here are 10 things to know before you go:
- Savannah Bananas Game + Tailgate
From the moment we announced we were going to Savannah in 2023, I had members shouting at me in the hallways about the Savannah Bananas. I did my due diligence to connect with them, with great success! TMSA will watch the Savannah Bananas take on the Aussie Drop Bears ahead of the conference on Saturday, June 10th.
Added bonus: ride the TMSA trolley from the hotel to the Tailgate to mix and mingle with TMSA attendees (and their families if they choose to bring them) for some great conversation and delicious food. The Latin Chicks will be serving up something great! Tailgate will run 3:30-5 p.m. and then we will head on over together to the game when the gates open.
Extra bonus: I have the honor of throwing out the First Banana at the game. Watch me attempt to find the banana while blindfolded before tossing it to start the game!
- Savannah Bananas Opening Keynote
After experiencing the Fans First mentality firsthand, TMSA will welcome Jared Orton, president of the Savannah Bananas, as our opening keynote. Better yet, he agreed to bring key members of his team to join him on stage for a Q&A, including: Kara Heater, Savannah Bananas Marketing Director; Marie Matzinger, Savannah Bananas Fans First Director; and Carson Bowen, Savanah Bananas Ticket Experience Director.
- Newcomers Reception + Trivia
With the TMSA Buddy Program now in its 3rd year, we wanted to up the ante on welcoming new friends into TMSA! The Newcomers Reception will begin with just the newbies and the TMSA Membership Committee, followed by our newcomers being joined by their buddies for an exciting game of trivia!
- Give Back to Savannah while Networking
In line with our own non-profit roots, during this session you'll have a chance to network with others while completing a project that supports the community. We are finalizing which group we are working with, so stay tuned for more information!
- Shippers Panel
One of the biggest asks TMSA gets is to put together a panel of shippers for our members to hear direct insight from the source. Ask, and you shall receive.
We’ve assembled a dynamite panel of logistics executives at shippers who will give you direct voice-of-customer input for sales and marketing success. We’ll discuss what matters to shippers today, what they are most concerned with and what they value in their partners.
- All-Around Top-Tier Sales and Marketing Education
The TMSA Education Committee works diligently to make sure the educational line up is jam-packed with interesting and engaging sessions. Check out the full agenda here.
- Blazer’s Bash
This inclusive bash celebrates the powerhouses behind the sales and marketing in this industry, with special recognition for our Trailblazer Award recipients to hear and see more about their innovative and effective campaigns and initiatives. After the conclusion of the awards program, we open the dance floor!
- ELEVATE Morning Show
For the first time ever, TMSA will have a morning show with co-hosts Trey Griggs and Blythe Brumleve. They will welcome special guests to the stage to talk about what’s trending most in our industry right now for sales and marketing professionals. This session will be live broadcasted to the TMSA LinkedIn.
- The Break Room
“Where is the coffee?” “How can I fill up my water bottle?” “I. Need. Snack.” “I just need to check an email, where can I go?” à All questions I have asked at a variety of conferences.
At TMSA, we’ve got you covered, all in one room. The TMSA Break Room is set up with snacks, drinks, and space for you both to check an email or have a chat with a new friend.
- Port of Savannah Tour
After the official closing of TMSA ELEVATE, attendees can opt in to take a tour of the Port of Savannah for one last networking and educational experience together!
BONUS: We polled members and current attendees a few weeks ago to see where they would most like to go to celebrate TMSA’s 100th anniversary in 2024. All will be revealed in the TMSA Member Meeting on Tuesday, June 13th.
