When you make the “Inc. 5000” list, your company has been proven worthy of entrepreneurial success, leadership and innovation. The Inc. 5000's aggregate revenue is $206 billion, and the companies on the list collectively generated 619,500 jobs over the past three years. Recently announced, there are nearly 150 companies in the logistics and transportation sector whose creativity propelled them to the top of the list in 2017. This is the 36th annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation's fastest-growing, private companies.

One TMSA member, MacroPoint, was ranked 567 on the list. “MacroPoint’s success is due to the hard work of our talented employees, who strive daily to bring freight visibility to the global supply chain,” says Bennett Adelson, CEO of MacroPoint. “Our patented freight tracking platform provides shippers, carriers and third-party logistics providers with real-time updates and predictive analytics on every load. We are committed to providing disruptive supply chain innovation to the world’s leading transportation companies.”

Kingsgate Transportation Services is another TMSA member making the list (three years in a row and fourth time total). Kingsgate was featured in 2015, 2016 and now 2017, rising in rank on this prestigious list every year and in the past year growing 124% to the rank of 2,753, according to Jeff Beckham, owning partner.

For the 7th consecutive year, Zipline Logistics has been named to the list. As a 7th time honoree, Zipline Logistics is now part of a select group of companies called the ‘Honor Roll.’ Fewer than a tenth of Inc. 5000 honorees ever achieve this milestone. “Seeing continued growth year over year is an accomplishment we don’t take for granted,” explains Zipline Logistics CEO, Walter Lynch. “Our team is dedicated to our business mission of improving the lives of transportation professionals. This focus has driven us to develop new solutions and service offerings and enabled us to continually deliver on customer demands, even in a volatile and highly competitive logistics market.”

One TMSA member, Green Mountain Technology ranked 4410. As an Inc. 5000 honoree, Green Mountain Technology shares a pedigree with Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, GoPro, Timberland, Clif Bar, Patagonia, Oracle and other notable alumni. "We are honored to be recognized as one of the top 5,000 most successful companies in America," says Jim Jacobs, Chief Commercial Officer at GMT, a leading Parcel Spend Management firm that helps large brands efficiently manage their parcel shipping operations. "I believe GMT's success is driven by a team that is relationship focused and has unusually high levels of skill and integrity. We love the challenge of taking on a rapidly changing parcel and retail landscape that is striving to implement new strategies to survive and thrive. We've strategically positioned ourselves to help meet the demands of today's parcel shippers."

For the seventh year, Toledo-based transportation firm Bolt Express Inc., was on the list in the 4,471st spot. “This accomplishment could not have been done without our incredible drivers and their commitment to our customers,” says Eric Zuhlsdorf, Operations Manager at Bolt Express. “Each member of our team understands the importance of going the extra mile.”

Sunset Transportation executives have set their sights on the big target of $100 million in annual revenue – achieving nearly $91 million in revenue in 2016 and achieving a 3-year growth of 45%. The St. Louis-based third-party logistics and freight payment service provider for domestic and international clients continues to grow, Vice President of Operations Lindsey Graves was quoted last year, due to the improving economy — especially in construction — and the addition of new branches is keeping Sunset’s engine running high.

Other TMSA members making the list include BlueGrace Logistics (which is ranked at 3,744, with a growth rate of 79.44% and revenues of $188.1 million generated last year); ODW Logistics (which is ranked in the 2,244 spot, with a growth rate of 162.8% and revenues of $54.6 million generated last year); and ARMADA (which is ranked at 3,649, with a growth rate of 83.58% and revenues of $2.7 billion generated last year).

Congratulations to all of these TMSA member companies for their achievements!
