TMSA Names New Staff, Management Company

TMSA has exciting news! On Aug. 1, the association named Brian Everett its new chief executive officer. According to Dino Moler, TMSA’s current President and Executive Vice President of Client Solutions for LeSaint Logistics, this was a strategic move by the association to engage new resources that will enhance member value and significantly expand membership.

Clearly, Everett is no stranger to transportation marketing - or to TMSA. In fact, he served previously as the association's CEO from 1998 through 2009, and under his leadership TMSA more than tripled membership during that 10-year period through strategic initiatives and added programs and services to members.

Other staff changes include Carleen Herndon named as TMSA’s director of sales and member experience, and Karen Everett as its director of operations and administration. In addition, TMSA is moving its headquarters to Minneapolis and retaining the services of MindShare Strategies, a full-service marketing and management firm specializing in transportation and logistics, as its association management company.

“In 2011, TMSA expanded its mission to provide value to sales and business development executives in the transportation industry,” says Moler. “While we’ve made some progress in bringing member value to industry’s sales profession, TMSA is looking to Brian and his team now to help us significantly grow this segment of our membership, while finding new ways to expand value to our existing membership.”

Everett said he’s looking forward to leveraging his three decades of experience in transportation marketing and association management. Previously, he was executive director of the National Shippers Strategic Transportation Council (NASSTRAC), director of marketing for C.H. Robinson Worldwide, and has been account supervisor for several MindShare clients in transportation, warehousing, and supply chain management.

“TMSA has a long history in providing education, networking opportunities, and marketing best practices to executives in the transportation industry,” says Everett. “My team and I look forward to leveraging our proven experience in association management, marketing expertise, and our expansive network in transportation to ultimately bring value and growth to TMSA and its members.”

TMSA looks forward to exciting opportunities this new team will help to bring to the organization and its members.
