TMSA Valentine’s Shout-Out: We LOVE Our Volunteers

Written By: TMSA Staff | Feb 13, 2020 12:00:00 AM

TMSA is a volunteer-led professional association, and we have built the strength of our community as an association through the hard work, dedication, creativity, and strategic leadership of our volunteer leaders. The first of a three-part series recognizing our volunteer leaders, this article recognizes the current TMSA officers team.

This Valentine’s Day, instead of expressing your love to friends and family, why not spread some joy to the industry in which you work? In fact, what makes some of our volunteer leaders so unique is because they are motivated to give back to the industry. Let’s take a look at some of our amazing leaders who love to give back in the form of volunteering.

Candi Cybator has been a marketing professional in the transportation industry since 1994,candi-cybator when she began in marketing and public relations for PITT OHIO, a provider of supply chain, ground, LTL, and truckload transportation services based in Pittsburgh, Pa. An active member of TMSA for much of her career, she has a passion for helping marketing and sales professionals in this industry be the best they can be - by making TMSA the best association it can be. Candi has served on the Board of Directors for several years, and today serves as the President of the association. She’s the second woman to serve in this role (Emily Vaugh Janson of SupplyChainBrain was the first). Candi is a multiple Compass Award winner, has acted as a Compass Judge several times, and has served on several committees throughout the years. Thanks, Candi, for your passion for TMSA and the industry – and for your TMSA family!

Scott Grady has been in sales and corporate management roles in transportation and logistics scott-gradysince 1981, including Senior Vice President of Enterprise Sales for Landstar and President of Rush Trucking Corp., his current role since March 2018. Scott has been a member of the TMSA Board of Directors since June 2013, serving as President from 2015-17 and currently is serving as Chairman. Through his no-nonsense leadership style, Scott has given of his time and leadership talents in many ways to ultimately create the TMSA it is today. Thank you, Scott, for your amazing leadership!

Tom Collins is TMSA’s President-Elect and has been an active member since 2007. Currently Senior Director of Marketing at Saddle Creek Logistics Services, an omnichannel supply tom-collinschain solutions provider, he has built the marketing team from the ground up – responsible for all marketing, demand and lead generation, and CRM. Previously he held marketing positions with FedEx Freight, Watkins Motor Lines, and Roadway. He has served on the TMSA Board of Directors since 2015, and was previously the Chairperson of the Membership Committee – at which time he helped to modernize TMSA’s sales strategy and incorporate marketing automation into the association. Thanks, Tom, for all that you do!

beth-malik

Beth Malik is currently TMSA’s Treasurer. In her “day job” she’s Director of Marketing & PR at SMC3, a data and solutions leader in the LTL freight industry for 80+ years. Beth has served on the TMSA Board of Directors since 2014, and is known to bring strategic business ideas to the table (as well as a hint of enjoyable humor and sarcasm). She’s also got an adventuresome spirit, including deep-sea diving in the Maldives, checking out the California wine country, and exploring Barcelona, Spain within the last six months alone. Thanks, Beth, for allowing TMSA to be part of your adventure!

Jodi Cape currently is TMSA’s Secretary and Co-Chair of the Membership Committee. A member of the association since 2007, Jodi is a multiple recipient of the TMSA Compass Award, has served as a Compass judge, and previously was Chair of the Recognition jodi-capeCommittee. She got her start in the transportation and logistics industry at LeSaint Logistics, a nationally acclaimed 3PL providing expert supply chain solutions for warehousing, fulfillment, inventory management and transportation. She currently is LeSaint’s Marketing Manager. When she’s not hanging out with TMSA friends, she’s ever so busy with the loves of her life – daughters Charlee and Brynn and husband Ryan. Thanks, Jodi, for the creativity and energy you bring to TMSA!
